Are your seeds organic?
We always opt for organic and heirloom seeds whenever possible; however, some of our seeds may be hybrids and/or conventionally grown seeds. If your concern is avoiding GMO seeds, no need to worry. None of the seeds we source come from farms that use GMO seeds. This is a principle we will not waiver on. It's important to know that even when seed is not certified organic, it is still possible that the parent plant was grown using organic principles. Many smaller farms and family farms simply can't afford the cost of certification but are committed to using organic practices on their land.
How can I minimize the waste produced by my Dig. box?
We only use non-toxic packaging. The box itself and the filler we use are compostable, recyclable, and reusable.
You can compost the box and filler or use it for worm bedding or mulching plants. The box itself can be used as weed suppressant under mulch. If you find other ways to use your empty boxes, please share with us. Tag us on socials or email us a picture at info@thedigbox.com
